Lindsay Baruffa
Lindsay is the Director of the Second Chance Project, focusing on removing barriers to education, employment, and housing for people with criminal records.
Before joining OJPC, Lindsay served as an attorney at the Hamilton County Help Center. There, she provided legal advice, information, and assistance to people representing themselves in civil legal matters, such as contract disputes, debt collection matters, and evictions. She also helped develop accessible legal resources to support individuals navigating the legal system without an attorney. Before becoming a lawyer, she worked on political campaigns, wrote freelance book reviews for Cleveland’s Plain Dealer, and served as an AmeriCorps*VISTA at Ashland University, where she managed student community service projects.
Lindsay graduated from Oberlin College and earned her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University, focusing on international law and litigation. During law school, she studied international criminal law in the Netherlands and interned with the Office of the International Co-Prosecutor at the Khmer Rouge Tribunal in Cambodia.
Originally from Northeast Ohio, Lindsay now lives in Cincinnati with her husband, Chris, who is also an attorney. They share their home with their dog Winchester and cat Izzy.
