This piece is part of a collaborative series between Tyra Patterson and Terri Voss. Voss is serving life without parole, and this provided an opportunity for Voss’s work to live outside the walls of the institution. One of the rules of a facility is to not alter state issued items. The dress depicted was fashioned out of contraband clothing found inside.
