Kaleigh Shupp

Kaleigh Shupp is an attorney with the Second Chance Project. She joined the Ohio Justice and Policy Center in July 2024. In this role, she provides legal services, outreach and education for those dealing with the collateral consequences of their interactions with the justice system.

Kaleigh received her undergraduate degree in History and Political Science from the University of Delaware and her J.D. from New York Law School. During her time in law school, Kaleigh was a student advocate with the Civil Rights and Disability Justice Clinic, a research and administrative assistant for the Post-Conviction Innocence Clinic and a Street Law student teacher. Additionally, she interned with the National Center for Law and Economic Justice where she worked on environmental justice and First Amendment cases. After graduating from law school, Kaleigh interned with the Northern District of Ohio Federal Public Defender in their Capital Habeas Unit and worked on current death row cases.

Outside of work, Kaleigh enjoys cooking, the occasional crochet project, and taking care of her cat Schroeder.
