Assia Micheaux is a communications and media professional who has honed her craft in branding and communications by putting her love of storytelling and entrepreneurial spirit to work for her clients. Her experience spans non-profit and for-profit marketing with several Cincinnati and national brands and organizations including Dramakinetics, Kroger Brands (Private Selection and Simple Truth), Tempur Sealy, Scott Mautz, local fitness brand, MYSFIT, the NAACP, the U.S. Department of State and the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.
Assia’s professional roles have included public relations specialist, digital marketing strategist, content developer, speech coach, digital content manager and more.
In 2019 she co-created and launched The Reel Culture Queens—a podcast and online publication dedicated to womxn in media discussing how race, gender, ability and sexuality is depicted within film, television, radio and theatre.
Assia joined the Ohio Justice and Policy Center team as the communications manager in the fall of 2021. She is excited to use her love of storytelling and her passion to uplift human stories that advance the mission and work of the OJPC.
